Red wolf pencil drawing for children. How to draw a wolf for a child with a pencil step by step

Drawing with a pencil begins with the step-by-step development of a sketch. Each image style has its own characteristics, but the basis is the same - ovals, from which the image gradually emerges. It's quite easy to draw a wolf. It looks like a dog, so for those who have already drawn pets, this task will not be difficult. The only difference is the more powerful paws and narrow muzzle, as well as the gray color, which is perfectly conveyed with a simple pencil. For those who are drawing for the first time, our instructions will help.

How to draw a wolf's head?

For beginners, the easiest way to draw a wolf's head is with a pencil and step by step.

Sketch the head. Mark the general outlines and boundaries of tones. Completely fill in the pupils and darken the eyelids. Make the iris lighter and don’t forget to leave a highlight.

Start drawing the fur. Mark its direction. The closer to the neck, the longer it should be. Draw very short lines near the eyes.

Draw dark hairs along the contour of the ear with short strokes. Make a light border inside, only marking the hairs, but without shading them.

Draw the hairs on the forehead. It is difficult to depict them in this place, because they grow in different directions. Make a light sketch first, darken only when you are completely satisfied with the result.

We shade the nose with dense dark short strokes.

We draw the muzzle with short hairs. The lower jaw should be darker than the upper jaw. Label the mustache. Draw the sideburns with longer strokes.

The hairs on the neck are longer, so here we work with long strokes.

Finish the work by shading the drawing and darkening those areas that remain too light.

How to draw a wolf howling at the moon?

First, let's draw the head of an animal howling at the moon. To do this, draw a line at an angle with a pencil. From there we begin to draw the head itself with an open mouth. Paint the inside of the mouth, and leave a white tooth on the lower jaw, outline the nose and fill in the nostrils. Mark the ear, neck and lower cheekbone with a thin line.

Now sketch out the body of the animal. Draw the outlines of the back, paws, belly and the hill on which the animal sits. Gradually complicate the drawing by adding the texture of wool and shadows. The closer the drawing is to completion, the stronger the pencil pressure should be. Erase old lines with a white vinyl eraser, or any professional eraser that does not leave marks.

Don’t forget to mark the points on the muzzle – whiskers and make transitions from more light shade on the muzzle to darker on the neck.

The fur of the animal is gray, so when drawing it with a pencil you will achieve a realistic effect. In order to convey the shimmer to the hairs, leave some places white. Enhance the effect of real wool with shading.

You can finish drawing the moon and mountains in the background. They will enhance the realistic effect and emphasize the mystical image of the hero of the picture. Shade the trees and leave a halo around the moon.

Another option is to draw the outline of the animal against the background of the moon. We depict the earth and the moon on the entire sheet. The wolf in this picture will be black. We do not draw the face, shadows and fur, because against the background of the moon it will be backlit.

How to draw an anime wolf

The peculiarity of drawing a wild animal in anime style is that you practically do not need to draw the texture of the fur, and it is better to make the drawing in color. Anime is a bit like fantasy with a more cartoonish look.

Use ovals to indicate the chest, head, pelvis and paws. Connect these ovals with smooth lines. In the sketch, draw all parts of the animal's body. Indicate the hairs with sharp corners, rounded at the transition points. The image should be “cartoon-like”. Draw large claws, outline the eyes with a pattern, and separate the chest from the rest of the body with swirls of fur. There is no need to depict individual hairs. The paws should be slightly disproportionate, with large pads.

When everything is ready, erase the base of the drawing. Paint the figure with any cool colors.

How to draw a wolf from “Well, wait a minute!”

Character from “Well, wait a minute!” doesn't look like a standard wolf. This step-by-step instruction for drawing a cartoon character with a pencil will be more interesting for children than for adults.

Draw his face and outline his cap. Don't forget the fangs. Define the hair and draw an anchor on the cap. Fill in the shadows, but not too much detail. The drawing does not have to be realistic. Insert the pipe into the fairy-tale character's mouth. And shade the nose. Don't forget to mark the highlight.

The mustache is depicted as circles on the muzzle.

Sketch the body, arms and legs. Knees and elbows should be like those of a person. Paint over the stripes on the vest and draw a belt with a plaque. The sleeves of the vest should be rolled up.

The cartoon character has 4 fingers on his hands. And almost human nails.

We finish drawing the flared trousers and feet with thin claws.

It will be interesting to add a hare to the drawing. You can make a lot of scenes with it.

Wolves are strong, hardy and very brave predatory animals that live in the forests of many countries. In addition, wolves can often be seen in zoos, and sometimes even in the circus arena. Not all beginning artists know how to draw a wolf. But, if you managed to learn how to draw a dog, then you can certainly cope with this task. After all, in my own way appearance Wolves are similar to dogs, especially huskies.

1). Paper;
2). An eraser;
3). A pen with black gel ink;
4). Pencil;
5). Set of colored pencils.

1. Draw a circle representing the wolf's head. Draw a wolf’s neck to it, which should be quite thick, since it is covered with thick fur;
2. Draw the chest to the neck, and then the torso;
3. Use light lines to mark all the paws of the animal;
4. Draw the outline of the wolf's head;
5. Draw a mouth and nose. Then draw a small eye. On the top of the head, draw erect ears that resemble triangles in shape. Draw the front legs of the animal;

The wolf drawing is ready. Knowing how to draw a wolf with a pencil step by step, you can create an illustration, for example, for some Russian folk tale. In addition, having understood how to draw a wolf step by step, you can choose not only multi-colored pencils, but also almost any paints or felt-tip pens of appropriate tones to color a pencil sketch.
Of course, you may not immediately understand how to draw a wolf and then color the finished image. But with a little practice, you will surely succeed! To make your task easier, you can watch these animals at the zoo or watch documentary about them. In addition, you can first learn to draw a dog, and only then move on to working on the image of a wolf.

Now we will look at how to draw a wolf with a pencil step by step, how to draw the fur of a wolf step by step for beginners, in great detail and in great detail. Option 1 will be easy, option 2 will be difficult.

First we will draw a simple version of the wolf's muzzle. First we draw part of the nose, then the forehead, then the mouth, nose, eye, tooth and paint over the mouth.

For this work I used A3 paper and simple pencils hardness 2T, TM, 2M, 5M.

I used this photo as a reference. Photo by LoneWolfPhotography.

First of all, I make a detailed sketch, outlining all the boundaries of the different tones. First, I outline the general outlines with barely noticeable lines, then, relying on some part of the drawing as a basis for construction, according to which I measure all the values (most often this is the nose, since I like to start a sketch with the nose), I complete the entire sketch.

I always start shading from the eyes. First, with TM I outline the darkest parts of the eye - the pupil and eyelids, then I shade them thickly with 4M. I leave the highlight unpainted. Then I draw the iris with harder pencils. I move from the pupil to the edges for a more natural image.

I turn to wool. I start by lightly marking the direction of the fur with a 2T pencil.

Using a TM pencil, I begin to work on the fur with short strokes. Near the eye I make very short strokes.

I take 2M and walk through the dark places again.

I switch to the ear. I use a 5M pencil to paint over the darkest areas.

2M I shade the darkened wool. First I outline with light lines, then I draw short hairs.

I outline the hairs on the ear and paint over the dark tip.

2M I shade the ear. It is important here not to get confused in the direction and length of the strokes. I draw long strands with long strokes, first separating one and working only on it. I'm watching the tone.

I outline the contour of the ear with almost dotted strokes. I draw the fur with short strokes.

I return to the forehead and work on the forehead with 2M, adding 4M here and there. Then I work on the fur around the other eye, moving away from it. To make the outline look natural, I first outline the outer hairs with sparse long strokes, then add lines between them and only then shade the remaining area. I draw light fur with 2T.

2T I outline the length and direction of the fur on the forehead. Quite difficult, because there is a complex change of directions. I constantly check the reference. I go through TM and 2M again. It turned out too light, but we will always have time to darken it.

I finish the forehead. I draw the mane with 2T long strokes. Here it is especially important not to lay the strokes parallel, otherwise the wool will easily turn into unsightly stubble.

I'm working on the second ear. The technique is the same - from dark to light.

Now it's the nose's turn. I shade it with short, almost dotted, arched strokes to show the leather texture. I actively use 2M and 4M. First I go through the black and almost black areas, leaving the lighter ones for later.

I draw the face. Here I use very short strokes. I outline the points - the bases for the mustache. First I go through the lower jaw, because... she is darker.

I switch to sideburns. The technique is the same, only the strokes are much longer.

Here I cheat on myself and go through the light mane first. It came out lighter than necessary, but it's easy to fix. I outline the fur under the muzzle.

I shade the black stripe of 2M and 4M wool.

I'm working on my shoulders. I darken areas that are too light. The work is ready.

Notes

- Never press too hard on the pencil. It is better to go through an extra layer than to immediately darken it. Correcting darkened areas can sometimes be very problematic.

— Never draw hairs in parallel, it will look unnatural. Even on the most smoothed animal, the hairs will bend and overlap each other. Therefore, draw each individual hair at a small angle to the neighboring one or bend it slightly in an arc.

- Try to use the eraser as little as possible. It leaves behind dirt, which will make new touches look untidy.

- Never rush. If you feel like you want to finish it quickly, it’s better to put the work aside, otherwise you may only ruin it.

— If something doesn’t work out for you or starts to irritate you, put the work aside. Later, with a fresh look, you will be able to evaluate the mistakes and easily correct them.

TO how to draw a wolf step by step

First step: draw three circles. The first will be the head, the second will be the torso, and the third will be back torso.

Second step: connect the circles with each other with lines that will be the outlines of the future wolf’s body and muzzle. On the muzzle, mark the level of the eyes with a horizontal line, and the nose with a vertical line.

Third step: draw wolf ears above the first of the circles. And in order to draw a nose, you first need to draw a small circle, and you will draw it in detail later. Now let's move on to the limbs. Please note that the front and hind legs should not be placed at different levels. And since we draw the wolf standing on the side, part of the body is not visible at all. Draw circles for the front paws. But since we can only see one completely, then leave the second only part. Erase the rest with an eraser. Start drawing the hind legs with ovals (and also leave one partially).

Fourth step: draw a round nose on the muzzle. Add a tail and draw the shapes of the paws. You can make them in different ways: either cylinders or ovals, but also rectangles.

Step Five: Now get to the details. Draw ears and eyes. Add a neck. Outline the structure of the wolf's paws and draw the tail.

Sixth step: clean up. Wipe with eraser auxiliary lines. Highlight the main features of the animal.

Add fur to the wolf using strokes. It is quite long and thick. You can add fangs to emphasize the predatory nature of the animal.

How to draw a wolf step by step with a pencil

You can draw a wolf with a pencil. Moreover, 4 stages are enough for this.

So, take a landscape sheet, a pencil and an eraser.

Stage 1: The wolf's face is diamond-shaped. Let's add ears to the rhombus.

We immediately divide the muzzle in half (to maintain symmetry) and outline the location of the eyes, nose and mouth.

Stage 2. Add fur and some folds to the face. Now you can erase unnecessary lines.

Stage 3. Start drawing shadows. Almost like in the picture.

Stage 4. Now is the time to paint over the image and highlight some details. It is better to use traditional colors - gray and black, but you can improvise.

In this lesson we will learn how to draw a wolf using a pencil step by step.

The lessdraw website has a whole section on drawing wolves. There you can find lessons such as:

This lesson will show you how to draw an ordinary wolf in full, full height. Let's start the drawing process.

To make drawing easier, you need a foundation. Let's draw smooth circle and connect it with a figure that looks like a droplet.

We draw lines of this shape to the front and back of the droplet - these will be the paws of the drawn wolf.

At the top of the main circle of the head we draw ears. You can immediately start drawing them or simply draw two conditional triangles, so that later you can draw the fur in more detail and so on.

In the front part, slightly protruding beyond the boundaries of the circle, you should draw the base of the muzzle, nose and mouth of the wolf.

We connect the head with the body of the wolf; we also need to draw his eyes on the face.

We shape the belly and back of the wolf's body.

Draw the near thigh of the hind leg.

Erase the extra lines again. Now you can draw the far thigh and the hind legs themselves. Please note that they are slightly different from the front ones.

We remove all the sketch lines and finish the tail.
